Emergency Preparedness & Survival Overview

This overview will cover all core areas of the Rule of 3's plus tried and true methods to prepare you and your family for a period of unsupported survival.
Planned Agenda:
Introduction / Mindset
Shelter
Fire
Water
Food
Self Aid / Hygiene
Communication
Navigation / Signaling
Tools / Weapons
Kits / Supplies
S.I.P / G.O.O.D.
Each section is expected to last between 20 and 40 minutes.
As the agenda is being finalized, please forward any specific questions or concerns you may have on the topic of Survival and Emergency Preparedness so those issues can be addressed. Email Master Lewis if you are coming and lets coordinate our meals...

The test is done and we have two new masters in the system: Master Grant Smillie and Master Larry Ahlquist. Both were sick (flu) through the test but hung in there and did great. Others got rank too, Helene, Maribell, Art Sensei, Mattias, and Barney. We had great chef support and I want to thank Scott and Derek from the City Club on Bunker Hill for supporting our test. I have placed some pictures up on my "my face page" http://www.facebook.com/peterbrusso#/profile.php?id=1510433820&ref=name so go take a look. I will post up here too as I get a chance. Eliot was our combat camera person and did a fantastic job, we thank you. Visiting masters were Pat O'Connor, Robin Myers, Gary Murphy, Dylan Porter, and Kerry Lewis; I thank them for all there help.

Also for all visiting Masters and Sensei's.. I have the new V3 version of the schedule for all of you. If I didn't get you one, let me know.

I just finished a Simple Weapons Disarm DVD in both English and Spanish. I took an approach suggested by a person in Florida who works at a gun store. She, has to disarm clients in the gun store, wow huh, but she said basically she has been lucky. So, I took the "Be Real" approach and worked on simple disarms of hand guns and knives. I threw in some new defender work too so you might want to check out the new disk. It is also available in pay per view and download!

Lots of new stuff on the site but I'm still working on that.. so I won't tell ya what. But, what I can say is we are having a black belt test March 14, 15, and 16th, 2008. I will post the test team as they sign up on the "test page"...

We are going to have a colored belt test in Anaheim, CA. The date is Jan 27th, 2008 at 8 AM sharp. Please see the "test page" for more details. I have several exciting things to tell everyone. First, if you are not following the weekly classes, you must. Second, I finished my first “real book”. It's call “The Mental Warrior” and can be found at http://www.cafepress.com/shopbrusso.202379690 for those who want to purchase it. Finally, Kerry Sensei and I have finishing the syllabus by belt levels, and White Belt is available now! It's 85 pages and is available at: http://www.cafepress.com/shopbrusso.205801861.

We had a good test! All testies passed and they are alive! I will be putting up some podcasts about the event downstream.
I will start teaching again, Sundays at 10 AM.
